Eagles clinch birth in ECHL Kelly Cup Finals

With their 6-3 victory over the Toledo Walleye in Saturday’s game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, the Colorado Eagles are on to the Kelly Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history.

Colorado came into Game 5 with a 3-1 series lead and made a great comeback against the Walleye in the game, scoring five unanswered in route to the victory — winning the series 4 games to 1.

In the Finals, the Eagles will play either the South Carolina Stingrays or the Manchester Monarchs. Currently, South Carolina holds a 3 games to 2 lead over Manchester in the Eastern Conference Finals; however Manchester will host Game 6 on Monday night to try and stay alive.

Game 1 of the Kelly Cup Finals will be on Friday, May 26th at Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO. The Eagles will hold home-ice advantage in the series no matter who they play against. Game 2 will be played on Sunday night in Loveland before the Eagles hit the road for Games 3 & 4.

We will have more coverage of the Eagles all week leading up to this exciting championship opportunity for Northern Colorado!
