All 31 NHL teams had their new Adidas jerseys revealed to the public on Tuesday night.
The Colorado Avalanche were one of the few teams with a slight re-design.
Now, while some teams revealed both their home and road jerseys, please note that the Avalanche were only “allowed” to show their home burgundy jerseys tonight. No word on when they will be allowed to show their home whites.
Without further adieu, here are the brand spanking new home jerseys the Avs will wear starting this year…
(Note: all video and photos were borrowed from @Avalanche on Twitter.)
As you can see, the Avalanche have made great changes to their home jersey, getting rid of the annoying armpit piping, taking the black & white striping away completely, and going back to their roots by bringing back the mountain stripes on the bottom of the jerseys with a bold, all grey stripe.
The primary logo stays the same (at least on the home jersey…), and the numbering and lettering enjoys a bit of a shake up.
As mentioned earlier in the day, the new draft cap was alway leaked…
Stay tuned, as we will have another post just like this when the Avalanche and NHL decide to show us what the home whites look like!
